Agreement supports new air taxi infrastructure and seamless mobility
Parkin Company PJSC and Skyports Infrastructure have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on developing air taxi infrastructure across Dubai. This partnership aims to integrate air taxis into the city’s transportation system, enhancing urban mobility and supporting Dubai’s green and autonomous transport goals.

Air Taxis and Vertiport Infrastructure
Air taxis, powered by electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) technology, promise a faster and greener way to travel, reducing congestion on Dubai’s roads. Vertiports—specialized infrastructure for air taxis—will allow these vehicles to take off, land, and undergo maintenance while offering a seamless experience for passengers.
Parkin, the largest provider of public parking facilities in Dubai, will collaborate with Skyports to develop vertiports at select parking facilities. Parkin’s advanced technological capabilities in access control, payment systems, and customer service will be used to provide parking and access at these new sites.

Duncan Walker, CEO of Skyports Infrastructure, stated, “As the exclusive provider of vertiport infrastructure in Dubai, our partnership with Parkin brings together two companies with highly complementary assets and operations. Access to Parkin’s comprehensive footprint will unlock opportunities to develop our vertiport infrastructure throughout the city, accelerating the adoption of integrated, multimodal transport solutions.”
Supporting Dubai’s Transport Strategy
The MoU between Parkin and Skyports supports Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Joby Aviation’s plans to launch the world’s first commercial air taxi network by 2026. The collaboration also aligns with Dubai’s Smart Autonomous Mobility Strategy 2030, which seeks to expand the use of electric and autonomous vehicles.
Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, commented, “This ground-breaking partnership with Skyports is testament to Parkin’s market-leading capabilities, proven innovation track record and commitment to delivering on our growth strategy. As the largest provider of paid public parking facilities and services in Dubai, Parkin has a systemic role in enabling mobility to support the expansion plans of the Emirate.”

A Multimodal Vision for Dubai
This agreement signals a significant step toward a future where multiple modes of transport are seamlessly integrated. By merging Parkin’s established parking network with Skyports’ expertise in vertiports, Dubai is set to offer new transportation options for residents and visitors alike.
As part of a long-term agreement, Parkin has exclusive rights to operate public parking services across Dubai, including both on-street and multi-story parking facilities. This strategic advantage will allow Parkin to expand its services to support the future of air taxis and other advanced transportation technologies.
Both companies share a commitment to sustainability, and this partnership is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping Dubai’s mobility landscape.
