Drone-Deployed Flotation Devices BRINC and OMADA Group

New Partnership Brings Faster Water Rescue Solutions for Public Safety Agencies
BRINC and OMADA Group have announced a strategic partnership aimed at improving water rescue operations by using drones to deploy Emergency Flotation Devices (EFDs). This collaboration brings together BRINC’s advanced drone technology and OMADA Group’s expertise in first-responder safety equipment. The two companies are working to equip public safety agencies across the U.S. and Canada with drone-deployable Restube EFDs.

The Partnership: A New Standard for Water Rescues
BRINC’s Drone as First Responder (DFR) solution, combined with OMADA Group’s Restube Automatic EFD, offers a new, faster way to respond to water emergencies. The Restube Automatic is a lightweight flotation device that automatically deploys when it touches water, making it an ideal tool for drones. This technology allows public safety agencies to mount the device directly onto BRINC’s Responder drones using a custom Restube mount, ensuring that life-saving flotation devices can be delivered to individuals in distress within seconds.

“By combining Restube EFDs with BRINC’s drone ecosystem, we’re equipping first responders with a life-saving water rescue tool,” said BRINC Founder and CEO Blake Resnick. “This partnership enables immediate deployment of flotation devices to people who need them as quickly as possible.”
A Game-Changing Tool for Public Safety
The partnership offers several advantages for first responders. Drones equipped with EFDs are faster than traditional methods of delivering rescue equipment, such as boats or crewed aircraft. This allows for quicker response times, especially in critical situations where every second counts. According to OMADA Group’s Owner and Partner Arcady Shteynberg, “No tool can deliver a flotation device on scene faster than a drone. It requires less maintenance than traditional crewed aviation and isn’t restricted by the limitations of boats or other watercraft.”
This innovative solution is rapidly being adopted by more public safety agencies as they recognize its potential to enhance water rescue operations.
The Impact on Public Safety Agencies
The combination of Restube flotation devices and BRINC’s drones aims to set a new standard in emergency response. As more agencies integrate this technology into their operations, they are expected to improve their ability to save lives in water-related emergencies. The collaboration provides a comprehensive, ready-to-deploy solution, ensuring that first responders have the tools they need to act quickly and effectively.
