Flytrex Fully Automated Drone Delivery

Flytrex Partners with National Restaurant Chains to Launch New Capability and Transform Delivery Process
by DRONELIFE Staff Writer Walker Robinson
Flytrex has announced the launch of their fully autonomous delivery in partnership with quick service restaurants. The service is fully automated from when the order is picked up to delivery at the customer’s home.

Since 2017, Flytrex has led the UAV industry in drone-enabled ultrafast delivery. Over the last few years, they have partnered with several of the largest retail and restaurant chains to provide fast, and cost-effective airborne deliveries direct to consumers. In the United States, they currently have operational delivery service in North Carolina and Texas and are looking to expand nationwide over the next few years.
Their service aims to reduce delivery time and expenses using UAVs. Flytrex drones are fully automated and can pick up from affiliate restaurants and retailers with a dropdown wire. They then fly directly to the customers home or office to deliver the product or food to the ground. This experience can cut out costly food delivery fees and arrive significantly faster. Flytrex estimates that an average delivery can arrive in five minutes after the food has been prepared by the participating restaurant or business.

Flytrex has experienced significant growth over the last three years. Growing their eligible customer base 138%. They were granted FAA authorization for operating long-range on demand commercial drone deliveries in January 2023, and have continued to grow since. Their announced partnership with large retailers and restaurants such as Unilever, Papa Johns, Little Caesars, and others is a key indicator of the continued growth Flytrex has been able to achieve.
“This announcement is a testament to Flytrex’s continued commitment to a future of ultrafast delivery for everyone,” said Yariv Bash, CEO and Co-Founder of Flytrex. “What’s so unique about this innovation is its real potential to move the needle, with more and more businesses getting on board with an undeniably seamless and cost-effective process. This upgrade is a huge step forward in achieving our vision to provide drone delivery to the millions of residents across suburban America.”
While this UAV technology remains a novelty for a limited number of regions in the world currently, it’s likely to continue to grow and expand over the next decade. It won’t be too long until automated aerial deliveries become commonplace.
