Hydrogen Aviation Conference: HYSKY at Commercial UAV Expo

Strategic Alliance Between HYSKY Society and Commercial UAV Expo: the Future of Hydrogen Aviation
In an innovative move poised to redefine the landscape of aviation technology, the HYSKY Society is slated to partner with the Commercial UAV Expo, bringing together two pivotal segments of aviation innovation under one roof in Las Vegas, NV, from September 3-5, 2024. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the advancement of hydrogen-based aviation, promising to amplify the reach and impact of zero-emission flight technologies.
The Commercial UAV Expo, recognized as the premier global trade show and conference for the commercial drone industry, will serve as the backdrop for the FLYING HY Conference 2024, produced by the HYSKY Society. This event stands as the world’s largest conference dedicated to hydrogen aviation, focusing on the education and proliferation of hydrogen as a clean energy source for aviation.

According to a Commercial UAV Expo announcement, the HYSKY Society’s participation is expected to inject a fresh perspective into the event, highlighting the potential of hydrogen in revolutionizing the skies. “Co-locating the FLYING HY Conference 2024 with Commercial UAV Expo is huge for HYSKY. It’s not every day a small startup nonprofit gets to share our passion for hydrogen aviation with nearly 4000 people! We’re beyond thankful for the Commercial UAV Expo’s support—it’s exactly the boost that hydrogen aviation needs to spread the word about this magical little molecule and get everyone as excited about clean skies as we are,” shared Danielle McLean, Founder & CEO of HYSKY Society.
Lee Corkhill, Group Event Director at Diversified Communications, the organizer of Commercial UAV Expo, emphasized the synergy between the two entities. “It’s imperative to recognize hydrogen as a power source for the commercial drone space, making HYSKY Society a perfect fit as a collaborative event partner with Commercial UAV Expo,” Corkhill stated. The addition of the FLYING HY Conference and a Hydrogen Pavilion is anticipated to offer attendees an immersive experience into the technological advancements and future opportunities in hydrogen aviation.
HYSKY Society will host a myriad of offerings as part of the co-location including a full-day Hydrogen Aviation Course, and the FLYING HY Conference, which is the world’s largest hydrogen aviation event featuring two days of education for the hydrogen aviation ecosystem. Attendees will learn how to source hydrogen, fly safely with hydrogen, benefit from tax credits, and build and position their businesses as leaders in the hydrogen market. Additionally, a Hydrogen Pavilion on the exhibit hall floor will showcase top vendors and technology in the space.
This collaboration will enrich the Commercial UAV Expo’s robust lineup of offerings, which includes the Commercial UAV Expo Conference Program, Keynotes, the DRONERESPONDERS Public Safety Summit, outdoor flying demonstrations, pilot training, workshops, an exhibition of over 225 solutions providers, and numerous networking events.

The HYSKY Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is at the forefront of promoting hydrogen aviation with the goal of achieving zero-emission flight. With a vision to lead the aviation industry into an era powered by hydrogen—including aircraft, UAVs, eVTOLs, and flying cars—the Society leverages research and public education to demonstrate hydrogen’s capacity to eliminate the aviation sector’s carbon footprint.
