SIRAS Payload Vue TV128+ Thermal Camera

New Vue TV128+ Enhances Thermal Sensitivity for Industrial Inspections and Public Safety
Teledyne FLIR, a division of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, has announced the release of the Vue TV128+, a cutting-edge camera module designed for the SIRAS™ professional uncrewed aerial system (UAS). Customers have come to expect the best sensors from Teledyne FLIR, and the SIRAS drone consistently carries top-tier options. With the introduction of the Vue TV128+, Teledyne FLIR continues to expand what’s available for the SIRAS platform, offering professionals even more advanced capabilities. The Vue TV128+ brings dual thermal and visible imaging ideal for utility inspectors, law enforcement, and emergency response teams who require high-performance tools for demanding missions.

Enhanced Imaging for Industrial and Public Safety Applications
The Vue TV128+ features a powerful dual-sensor setup. It combines a 128x-zoom, 16MP visible camera with the high-performance FLIR Boson®+ thermal camera, which has a resolution of 640×512 pixels. The Boson+ is an uncooled, longwave infrared (LWIR) thermal camera that delivers exceptional thermal sensitivity, capable of detecting temperature differences as small as 20 millikelvin (mK). This heightened sensitivity offers professionals greater thermal contrast and image sharpness, both during the day and at night.

In addition, the Vue TV128+ is equipped with Teledyne FLIR’s patented MSX® Multi-Spectral Dynamic Imaging software. This technology enhances thermal images by adding visible light details, providing operators with improved situational awareness. MSX integrates edge and outline information without diluting the thermal data, unlike image fusion methods, ensuring clear and accurate thermal readings.
“With the introduction of the Vue TV128+ for the SIRAS drone, we are excited to offer an even more advanced dual visible and thermal camera solution for professional UAV pilots,” said Mike Walters, Vice President, Teledyne FLIR. “Enhanced thermal visibility, especially in low-contrast environments, is a must-have tool for inspectors and public safety professionals.”

Built for Tough Environments and Critical Missions
The Vue TV128+ payload is built to withstand harsh conditions, with an IP54 rating for protection against dust and water. Its rugged design makes it suitable for a range of challenging missions, including industrial inspections, firefighting, law enforcement, and search and rescue operations. The camera’s combination of thermal and visible imaging allows operators to make quick decisions in the field, as well as conduct post-flight data analysis when necessary.
The new payload offers flexibility to drone operators. It is available both as part of the SIRAS drone bundle or as a standalone option for those looking to upgrade their existing systems. This versatility makes the Vue TV128+ a valuable tool across industries that rely on immediate, reliable aerial data.
