Skyway 36 Droneport
New 19,000 Square Foot Facility to Advance Aerospace Research and Development
Osage Nation’s Skyway36 Droneport and Technology Innovation Center has commenced the construction of WindShape’s new 19,000 square foot unmanned aerospace (UAS) testing facility. This development marks a significant advancement in WindShape’s efforts to innovate within the aerospace sector through comprehensive research, development, testing, inspection, certification, and validation processes.
“The commencement of construction for our state-of-the-art testing facility at Skyway36 marks a pivotal moment for WindShape,” stated Nicolas Bosson, Chief Operating Officer at WindShape. “With the support of Osage Nation, Osage LLC and other partners, we are enthusiastic about the possibilities that lie ahead and are poised to further elevate our research and development to set new benchmarks for performance, safety, and reliability in the emerging aerospace industry.”
Located less than five miles from downtown Tulsa and ten miles from Tulsa International Airport, Skyway36 is a key UAS testing center within Osage Nation. It serves as the main access point to Skyway Range, a 1,200 square mile Beyond-Visual-Line-of-Sight UAS flight test range developed in partnership with Osage LLC, Oklahoma State University, and Tulsa Innovation Labs.
